Alright, finally went and got a camera. Of course, today I also went to the symphony, went jogging, made french toast, bought a copy of
Scarf Style and played some
World of Warcraft, so I'm too tired to do anything with the camera. Heh. Expect pictures tomorrow of at least my red sweater, and probably at least one of the two pairs of socks I'm currently working on. Also planning on casting on for the Under the Hoodie from
Stitch 'N Bitch sometime. As far as the Scarf Style book goes, there's quite a few patterns in there I'm lusting after. The Lady Eleanor Stole would be beautimus, but the yarn is pricey, and well, the yarn in it would be about what I need for that My So Called Scarf I've been wanting too. Not to mention that it's March in Texas so I don't really have a need for scarves anyway. *sigh*
I think that the Hoodie would be good though, because I have this odd tendency to get cold everytime I eat, and when we go out to eat inevitably end up sitting curled in the fetal position trying to get warmer. I couldn't find a cardigan pattern I really wanted, and I've already got a bit of stash yarn I could use for.. about 3/4s of the hoodie. I bought some Lion Brand Wool-Ease awhile back when it was on uber-sale, and was looking for something that would be a decent use of it. Since I've never really attempted something like a hoodie, I figure I could use the cheap, not as good stuff for the first go round.
First from Scarf Style may actually end up being Annie Modesitt's Backyard Leaves pattern, wich is a pretty, semi-lacy pattern, which calls for some Karabella Aurora 8 yarn. Since I'm a bit on the poor side these days (Waitresses represent!) I'm pondering whether or not Knit Picks'
Wool of the Andes would be a sufficient substitute or not. It certainly is quite a bit cheaper. Although, now that I think about it, Bernat or someone was making some form of 100% merino yarn these days, but I don't believe that I saw it in a green shade. Will have to go to grab some row counters tomorrow or the next day anyway, because I seem to have misplaced some of mine. Or well, I have so many UFOs at any given moment that I can't possibly keep count of all of them sadly.
Anyhow, I suppose the boyfriend is looking over at my blog, and my knitting with a bit of a jealous eye, so I'll try and get that stuff up tomorrow, or the next day.
Yep, I'm still talking...
